Cashmere is a luxurious natural fiber obtained from the soft undercoat of cashmere goats, primarily raised in Mongolia, China, Nepal, and parts of India. The fiber is harvested during the spring molting season, when goats naturally shed their fine underlayer. Each goat produces only about 150–200 grams of usable fiber per year, contributing to cashmere’s rarity and high value.
The defining feature of cashmere is its ultra-fine fiber diameter, typically ranging from 14 to 16.5 micrometres—significantly finer than regular sheep’s wool. This results in an exceptionally soft, lightweight, and insulating material that offers up to three times the warmth of standard wool at a fraction of the weight.It is knitwear made to last. Luxurious to the touch, considered in construction, and a natural step forward for us at Son of a Tailor.

We leaned into the relaxed nature of the classic Oxford and kept key features like the button-down collar while increasing ease of movement through subtle refinement in fit.
The result is a timeless staple, made modern: an Oxford that continues to evolve with the way we dress today.

For FW25, we wanted the setting to reflect the collection itself: precise yet warm, structured yet soft. The campaign was photographed at 4th Studio in northern Copenhagen, with furnishings from leading European designers and makers, including Edoardo Lietti, OEO Studio, Matteo Fogale, Filippo Andrighetto, and Frama.
Their work with form, light, and long-lasting materials gave us a backdrop that mirrors our own approach to clothing: attention to detail, a focus on quality, and design that endures.
